Please read these terms carefully before purchasing. By completing your order, you agree to be bound by them, including limitations on refunds for OEM firmware changes and hardware damage liability.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of spool.id and purchases from Randware LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing this website, placing an order, or completing checkout, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use this site or purchase our products.
We sell programmed replacement RFID tags for filament spools you already own, programmed for compatibility with automatic material systems (AMS) used in 3D printing. Tag data is derived from publicly available research scans in the Bambu Lab RFID Library community project (https://github.com/queengooborg/Bambu-Lab-RFID-Library). Products are sold by Randware LLC under the Spool.id brand. See our trademark disclaimer for third-party affiliation details.
These tags are sold strictly for backup and replacement purposes. They are intended for customers who already own legitimate, lawfully obtained OEM filament spools and original RFID tags, and who need a spare or replacement tag for spools they already own. They are not intended to identify, register, or authenticate filament you do not own, nor to circumvent manufacturer licensing, regional restrictions, DRM, or anti-counterfeiting measures.
By purchasing, you represent and warrant that: (a) you already own or have lawfully obtained the corresponding original filament and/or OEM RFID tag for each tag you order; (b) you will use purchased tags only for personal backup of your own property; (c) you will not resell, distribute, share, or supply tags to unauthorized third parties; (d) your use complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws; and (e) you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).
You may not use our products to: counterfeit or misrepresent filament origin; enable unauthorized commercial resale; bypass manufacturer controls; infringe intellectual property rights; or engage in any unlawful activity. We may refuse or cancel orders we reasonably believe violate these Terms.
Spool.id products are designed to interface with the current firmware of the target automatic material systems as of the date of purchase. OEM manufacturers frequently release firmware updates, patches, and ecosystem restrictions that may affect third-party accessory compatibility. Randware LLC does not guarantee continuous functionality beyond the date of purchase and is not responsible for, and will not issue refunds for, functionality lost due to future OEM firmware updates, patches, or ecosystem restrictions.
Except as stated below, all products are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We guarantee only that each RFID tag will scan and be readable upon delivery. If a tag is dead on arrival (DOA) or fails to scan when first received, you must report it within fourteen (14) days of delivery for a replacement. After fourteen (14) days, the hardware is considered accepted as-is, with no extended warranty against wear, tear, OEM blocking, or compatibility changes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Randware LLC shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including damage to 3D printers, automatic material handling systems, feeder mechanisms, RFID antennas, or printed parts resulting from the use or improper installation of our products. We shall not be liable for loss of profits, data, printer downtime, or filament waste. Maximum liability for any claim relating to an order is strictly limited to the purchase price of the Spool.id product(s) in that order. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Randware LLC and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of our products, your breach of these Terms, improper installation, or your distribution or misuse of tags—including distribution to unauthorized parties.
All sales are subject to availability. Shipping times are estimates, not guarantees. Because tags are programmed to your specifications at time of order, returns are limited to DOA or mis-shipped items reported within fourteen (14) days of delivery. Refunds are not available for loss of functionality due to OEM firmware updates. Contact us at randware@trentrand.com with your order details to request a resolution.
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy at spool.id/privacy. By using this site, you also agree to that policy.
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Spool.id products shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, except where applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
